Some devicemakers are feeling the impact of the credit crunch more than others as cash-strapped hospitals cut back on projects and reduce their spending on capital equipment. “If hospital spending is down, many devicemakers are inevitably going to see a decrease in their earnings and revenue,” Lazard Capital Markets analyst Sean Lavin said.
