Disc Motion Technologies Announces the First Surgical Procedure Using Inlign Multi-Level Hybrid System

BOCA RATON, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Disc Motion Technologies announced today that the implantation of the Inlign™ MLH system, the World’s first posteriorly implanted multi-level hybrid system was successfully implanted in a 67 year old patient in Stockton-on-Tees, UK. The Inlign™ MLH system consists of an posteriorly implanted artificial disc and a motion preserving rod that provides motion at the level that has received the artificial disc and provides rigid stabilization for an adjacent level that received a posteriorly implanted fusion device.

“We are extremely pleased to announce that we have been able to so quickly answer the surgeons requests for this type of implant. The Inlign™ MLH addresses a common problem for back patients. Many times a patient will have a lumbar disc level that has progressed to the point that a fusion at that level is necessary, but the adjacent levels have not. The Inlign™ MLH is the solution,” said Andy Greenberg, President and CEO of Disc Motion Technologies, Inc.
