BSN Medical Inc. will invest $2 million to expand its Conover facility by 50,000 square feet. The project could create up to 25 jobs over the next two years.
The plant, at 1011 Keisler Road Southeast, currently measures 100,000 square feet. It has 44 employees.
It will continue to house and distribute wound-care and compression products. The project will add manufacturing capabilities for the company’s line of orthopedic and bracing products.
The company is slated to break ground for the expansion Monday.
Parent company BSN Medical, whose U.S. headquarters is in Charlotte, is a supplier to the fracture-management, physiotherapy and compression-stocking markets. The company has 3,600 employees around the world.
