Wright Medical Group expanding cautiously

Signs reading “wet paint” still hang in the hallways and the manufacturing plant where metal implants are cut and shined is as spotless as the doctor’s offices they’ll end up in.

Just last week, Wright Medical Group, the Arlington-based medical device maker, moved into a new building on Airline Road.

As part of a multimillion dollar expansion, the company has, so far, added 96,000 square feet to its operations.

It’s part of a master plan Wright has been working on for nearly two years.

Yet the only thing missing to complete that plan are two buildings — administrative and doctor-training facilities.
