ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Implantable Provider Group (IPG) is pleased to announce a significant agreement with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Inc. (BCBSF) to be its designated implantable device management vendor for its extensive provider network. IPG will handle device coordination, billing, replacement, tracking, and other services for BCBSF’s statewide ambulatory surgery center (ASC) network. Participation in the new reimbursement model using IPG will be rolled out as a requirement under this new, ground-breaking program. “As the implantable device market continues to grow, the health care industry is looking for solutions. IPG is excited to be working with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida to deliver meaningful value to its stakeholders,” said Jay Ethridge, chief executive officer for IPG. “With the increasing complexity of device related claims, IPG is providing needed industry expertise to assist in gaining visibility and managing the overall process.”

IPG streamlines the management and delivery of implantable medical devices by working directly with commercial insurance payors, clinical providers and facilities, and medical device manufacturers through its Implantable Device ManagementSM (IDM) solution. The IDM solution eliminates the complexity and the financial risks associated with the billing and reimbursement processes for providers, while maintaining patient access to innovative medical therapies that use life-saving and life-enhancing medical devices.

Founded in 2004, IPG primarily focuses on large, fast-growth device intensive markets, such as cardiology, neurology, orthopedic and spine implants.
