LDR , leader in innovation, reports 112% sales growth for US operations June 2010 YTD over prior year

Austin, TX (July 27, 2010)
112% growth in U.S. sales June 2010 year to date over same period prior year, including June 2010 being LDR’s highest month ever for sales in the United States. To enable its rapid growth in the US market, LDR has expanded its key sales management through additional Area Sales Directors and has partnered with approximately 50 US distributors representing over 300 sales people.

Christophe Lavigne, president and CEO of LDR notes, “Widespread adoption of our ROI-A® ALIF device coupled with the success of the ROI-C™ Cervical Cage made these sales numbers possible”. Both the ROI-A and ROI-C products feature LDR’s innovative zero-profile, VerteBRIDGE™ Plating Technology, which utilizes a self-guided plating system delivered via a direct anterior approach. This requires less exposure than other stand-alone systems that must be secured with screws inserted at oblique angles.

Mr. Lavigne continues, “As the industry leader in innovation we are attracting top-tier distributors who see the VerteBRIDGE Plating Technology platform and the potential 2011 launch of the *Mobi-C® cervical artificial disc, the only cervical disc with mobile bearing technology currently in an FDA IDE study for one and two level use, giving them a competitive edge, opening doors and enabling an expansion of their customer base. Our ability to pioneer innovation in a “me too” competitive environment provides tremendous business opportunities to our distributor partners”.

LDR has major offices in Europe, North America, South America, and Asia, and has completed over 70,000 surgeries with its products worldwide. LDR works closely with surgeons to develop innovative spine products to help restore optimum stability and mobility to their patients, while making spine surgery more reproducible and easier to perform. * Mobi-C is currently not available for use in the United States.
