Medical device maker Orthofix International NV said it received a subpoena from the Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission over its compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The subpoena is related to potentially illegal payments by Mexican subsidiary Promeca SA de CV to employees of “a Mexican governmental healthcare entity,” Orthofix said.
