Integra LifeSciences receives FDA clearance for three spinal fixation devices

Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corp (NASDAQ:IART) said Monday it has received 510k clearance from the US FDA for three new spinal intervertebral body fusion devices that aim to simplify surgical procedures.

The three new implant systems, which are inserted to relieve pressure on the nerves and back pain, are currently in limited commercial release, with full release targeted for later this year.

The medical device company said it is currently pursuing licensing deals, having recently announced one with Stout Medical for an expandable interbody device.

Integra offers services for the orthopedics, neurosurgery, spine, reconstructive, and general surgery markets. The company’s shares were up 0.9% on Monday morning at $47.57 as of 10:01am EST.
