TransCorp Spine Announces U.S. Patent Granted for the SpinePort™ MIS Access System

Ada, Michigan – August 20, 2012– TransCorp Spine, Inc., a privately held medical device company focused on developing and commercializing innovative, minimally-­-invasive spine products and procdures announces that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted a methods patent for the SpinePort MIS Access System.

“This is truly an important milestone for TransCorp Spine,” said Chris Welch, CEO and Presdient of TransCorp Spine. “This patent recongnizes the innovative and unique products that we are developing for spine surgery,” continued Chris.

The SpinePort system offers a proprietary channel guide that assists surgeons in creating a 6mm surgical port needed to perform minimally-invasive spinal decompressions and other types of procedures.
