Osseon® Therapeutics Announces Another VCF Product

SANTA ROSA, Calif., June 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Osseon® announces the release of the Osseoflex® CD-H hydraulic cement delivery system. This latest addition to the Osseon product line is designed for delivery of medium to high viscosity bone cement during the treatment of vertebral compression fractures (VCF). The Osseoflex® CD-H hydraulic cement delivery system complements Osseon’s family of steerable vertebral augmentation devices.

The Osseoflex® CD-H hydraulic cement delivery system is an improvement on other bone cement delivery systems, enabling precise, controlled delivery of bone cement when filling a cavity in a vertebra.

Osseon is also offering for those physicians who prefer a higher viscosity cement, a new, more viscous PMMA bone cement, which provides double the working time of lower viscosity cements.

The first vertebral augmentation cases have been performed with Osseon’s new Osseoflex® CD-H hydraulic cement delivery system by Paul Fuchs, MD of Orthopedic Specialists of SW Florida in Fort Meyers, FL, and Chad Hartley, MD of Panacea Brain & Spine in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Osseon continues to develop innovative products which address both physician and patient needs for the treatment of vertebral compression fractures.
