American Advocacy Center endeavors to secure patient access to quality care and gain optimum outcomes through advocacy for adequate coverage and payment on behalf of patients and healthcare providers. Who We Are: The experts at American Advocacy Center have been negotiating pathways and ensuring patient access to quality care for over 30 years. Through our partnerships with the device industry, healthcare providers and patients, American Advocacy Center works for fair and accurate payment to providers and insurance coverage for patients. Our experts understand Medicare as well as individual state healthcare laws that impact payment levels, as well as medical policies that can block access to new procedures and technologies for patients. Keely Scamperle, President, is a 20-year expert in healthcare coding, coverage and payment. Keely’s area of expertise is Health Care Policy, Reimbursement, Healthcare Economics, Compliance and Improving the Patient Experience. Her focus spans all facets of highly complex health care policy issues, the healthcare legislative process and the politics and players involved in shaping health care policy today. Keely has been deeply involved in navigating the intricacies of the US Healthcare System at the federal (Medicare) and Commercial payer levels. She has defined and developed reimbursement pathways for healthcare providers, patients and the health-tech industry in order to gain coverage for new therapies and technologies. Keely earned her Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law from Loyola University, Chicago and Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administrative Services from Weber State University, Ogden, UT. She holds professional designations including CHC (Certified in Healthcare Compliance), CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist, Physician Based) and CPC (Certified Professional Coder).
