Advanced Surgery Center of Sarasota (Fla.). Founded in March 2012, the surgery center offers spine, neurosurgery, orthopedics, joint and podiatry services. The surgery center’s case mix is 55 percent orthopedics. SurgCenter Development is partnered with ASC of Sarasota’s surgeons.

Barrington (Ill.) Pain and Spine Institute. Barrington Pain and Spine Institute performed its first outpatient spine surgery in October 2014, after receiving certificate of need approval to add spine services in April of that year. The center also offers interventional pain management services. Physicians performing procedures at the center address back pain, neck pain, pelvic pain, headaches, myofascial pain and more.

Blue Ridge Surgery Center (Raleigh, N.C.). The surgery center has been offering spine surgery for three years. Surgeons at the center perform multi-level lumbar laminectomies and multi-level ACDF cases. “We are always excited to take on new surgery cases,” says Cassandra Clark, RQC/risk manager of the surgery center. “Due to the success of these surgeries, we are currently planning to expand our spine services to include posterior cervical spines in the near future.” The multispecialty ASC was established in 1985 and is affiliated with Surgical Care Affiliates. The 13,000-square-foot facility includes six operating rooms and a minor procedure room.

  1. I live in Toronto, Ont. Canada Is there a pain center like you are describing in your journal? I would appreciate any help in finding relief for Spinal Stenosis….I have tried opioids and everything else to no avail. Other than minimal relief. Thank you
