Dr. Michael Amini of The CORE Institute Completes Arthroscopy Association of North America Traveling Fellowship Program

Phoenix, AZ (June 19, 2019) – Dr. Michael Amini of The CORE Institute, has completed the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) Traveling Fellowship Program which is widely considered one of the most prestigious and competitive programs of its kind in the world.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to participate”, said Dr. Amini, who specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery.  “We traveled around the country to different centers of expertise for Sports Medicine, learned a lot from different surgeons of different backgrounds, and had a chance to present our own philosophies, techniques and research.  It was an awesome experience.”

Dr. Amini was one of only 4 surgeons selected for this year’s AANA program, which came as no surprise to Jason Scalise, MD, Vice Chairman and Director of National Physician Integration at The CORE Institute.

“The AANA Traveling Fellowship selects only the best surgeons in the country for its program,” Dr. Scalise said, “Dr. Amini brings a tremendous amount of expertise and innovation to The CORE Institute and it is little wonder that he was chosen from so many applicants. His experience during the traveling fellowship brings the best of orthopedic science and care back to this community.”

Dr. Amini echoed that final thought.  “In addition to sharing our experiences and findings with colleagues around the country, I am bringing back countless things I learned to my patients to make sure they receive the very best care for shoulder and elbow problems.”
