Artoss, Inc. Adds New Board Members Charles Emley and Gilbert Ortega, MD MPH

Artoss, Inc. is pleased to announce the election of two new board members at its recent annual shareholders meeting. Charles Emley of angelMD and Gilbert Ortega, MD MPH of Sonoran Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeons were elected for one year terms.

Charles Emley has spent more than 30 years leading and building information technology and management consulting companies including Unisys, IBM, Deloitte, and E. I. DuPont & Co. He is currently engaged as Senior Advisor to angelMD, an online community of healthcare startups, physicians, and investors. He serves as Managing Partner of angelMD’s Catalyst I, LP direct investment fund. Both angelMD and Catalyst Fund are investors in Artoss, Inc.

Dr. Gil Ortega is a board-certified orthopaedic trauma surgeon in Scottsdale, AZ and member of Artoss’ Clinical Advisory Board. At Sonoran Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeons, he is co-director of the largest orthopaedic trauma fellowship program in the US. His clinical interests include complex fractures, treatment of polytraumatic injuries, and fracture nonunions.

Artoss, Inc. founders and directors Paul Byerley, James J. Cassidy, Ph.D., Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Thomas Gerber, and Dr. rer. nat. Walter Gerike were reelected to one year terms.

At the Board of Directors meeting following the Shareholders’ Meeting, Paul Byerley was elected Chief Executive Officer while Jim Cassidy was elected Chief Operating Officer and President. Each will continue to carry out their existing responsibilities.
