DePuy Spine appoints new worldwide president

The DePuy Family of Companies of Johnson & Johnson announced in a press release today that Namal Nawana has been appointed to the position of worldwide president of DePuy Spine.

Nawana has been with Johnson & Johnson and the DePuy Family of Companies for more than 13 years, serving in roles in engineering, marketing, sales and general management in Europe, Canada, Australia and the Asia Pacific.

He succeeds Gary Fischetti, who was promoted to company group chairman in January. Headquartered in Raynham, Mass., the DePuy Family of Companies, which offers treatments and solutions that span orthopaedics, spinal care, sports medicine and neuroscience, is a $5.6 billion global presence that employs over 6,400 people around the world, according to the press release.

DePuy Spine has one of the largest and most diverse portfolios in spine that includes traditional and minimally invasive devices and solutions for a wide range of spinal disorders, the company noted.
