Orthopedic Surgeon Commits Suicide After a Surgery Error

Alexander Reading, one of the top most Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeons of Britain, hanged himself to death, due to a guilt of error. His death is a huge loss for the hospitalauthorities and Nation.

The deceased was one of the best surgeons of the country and was working at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and the Spire South Bank hospital in Worcester. The surgeon was termed as a “perfectionist” by the fellow surgeons.

Chief Executive of the Joint Clinic, Karie Burbeck said, “Alex was an outstanding surgeon whose dedication and commitment to patients and colleagues was second to none. Our thoughts are with his family”. The error made by him is still not clear, he said.

According to the Daily Mail, the patient was in a poor condition after the surgery and Mr. Reading found it difficult to survive after what he had done to the patient and therefore, committed suicide.

The neighbors of the deceased informed that they had heard a scream of Mr. Reading’s wife Sarah, when she discovered his death.

Dr. Stephen Digby, a friend and colleague stated that Mr. Reading was a ‘man of honor’ and was a treasure to thehospital. She said the staff and the authorities will miss his presence.
