Health-Fit Chiropractic & Sports Medicine Named Clinical Director for the NFL Combine Prep Program

Health-Fit Chiropractic & Sports Medicine, a leader in sports chiropractic care, is thrilled to be appointed as the Clinical Director for the NFL Combine Prep Program. Health-Fit has partnered with XPE Sports, headed by Tony Villani, for the past five NFL Combine training seasons and already has plans for 2016.

The NFL Combine is a two month process where college football players who have entered the NFL draft process train to perform optimally at the NFL Scouting Combine.

As Clinical Director, Health-Fit provides initial full examinations, and helps guide the course of treatment for each player. Some players are diagnosed as only needing supportive care, while others may have significant injuries and need full medical attention.

In addition, Health-Fit travels with the group to the NFL Scouting Combine, where they provide maintenance and performance care to make sure the players are in peak performance mode.

“We have some players that are coming off surgery, some with serious injuries, and some just with nagging injuries that could potentially affect their speed and agility, enough to drop their performance considerably, and consequently their potential draft position,” explained Health-Fit Chiropractic & Sports Medicine CEO, Dr. Kevin Christie. “Besides our Sports Chiropractic treatment of the players, we also facilitate and guide their treatment plan with the other medical entities.”

“We communicate regularly with Tony Villani on what the player can and cannot do as for as speed and agility training,” Dr. Christie continued. “Over the years, we have seen some of the players we work with jump multiple spots in the first round, or even multiple rounds of the draft. These types of leaps are potentially worth millions of dollars to the player.”

Health-Fit offers a combination of advance sports performance care service including: Biomechanics, Chiropractic, Active Release Technique, Graston Technique, Kinesio Taping, and other exercises.

ART (Active Release Technique) is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART.

Focusing on athletes and fitness enthusiasts, their Sports Recovery Center offers Whole Body Cryotherapy, Hyperbaric Chambers, Deep Tissue Laser Therapy, NormaTec Recovery Boots, and Game Ready Ice Systems, in addition to the fore mentioned sports performance care services.
