Maruho Medical Acquires Valeris Medical, Orthopedic Surgical Device Manufacturer

This acquisition expands Maruho Medical’s expertise and creates a robust, complementary suite of soft tissue repair solutions for sports medicine surgeons and their patients

Marietta, GA, January 30, 2020Maruho Medical, the U.S. orthopedic subsidiary of Maruho Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese dermatological pharmaceutical company, today announced the acquisition of Valeris Medical, an orthopedic surgical device manufacturer.

“This acquisition affords Maruho Medical numerous exciting strategic synergies,” said Eric Cohill, President, Maruho Medical. “It broadens our product line for soft tissue repair procedures, and creates immediate synergies commercially, as well as in manufacturing and operations.

The acquisition will include full integration of the two companies effective immediately. The deal closed January 24, 2020; terms were not disclosed.
