HD LifeSciences Announces Fluid Channels Patent Allowance

BOSTON, October 8, 2019 — HD LifeSciences has received notice for allowance of its fluid channels patent.

Four things to know:

  1. The Hive™ ALIF interbody contains channels within its walls to allow spread of flowable allograft and autograft products through the lattice core.
  2. The Soft Titanium® lattice of HD LifeSciences interbody devices is comprised of interconnected pores, allowing for the interdigitation of new bone growth throughout the implant.
  3. The Hive™ ALIF device can hold over 5cc of biologic material within the porous lattice.
  4. Due to the low elastic modulus of the Soft Titanium® lattice, the porous core is able to experience strain under normal biomechanical loads.
